Jayson Tatum Scores 29 Points in Celtics' Victory

The Boston Celtics took Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night, defeating the Dallas Mavericks 107-89. Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics with 29 points and 12 rebounds, while Jaylen Brown added 23 points.

The Celtics jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. They led by 17 points at halftime and extended their lead to 28 points in the third quarter.

The Mavericks were led by Luka Doncic, who finished with 20 points, 12 rebounds, and 7 assists. However, Doncic was not able to get much help from his teammates, as Jalen Brunson was the only other Mavericks player to score in double figures.

The Celtics will now have a chance to take a 2-0 lead in the series when they host the Mavericks in Game 2 on Sunday night.
